Module 3 Discussion: Bring Your Team Energy

PreviousPage 3 of 4Next

One team where I truly felt like I belonged was the Blood Management Department . In last month we had a sever shortage of blood and our patients and their families were depressed. I took initiative to help our patients and we worked together to organize blood donation camps and help patients who needed lifesaving blood transfusions. Everyone had a shared purpose, and each team member's efforts were appreciated. What made our team strong was our trust, communication, and willingness to help one another. We worked together to solve problems, support volunteers, and ensure every blood donation camp was successful. My personal contribution was coordinating with organizations, arranging blood donation camps, and communicating with donors and volunteers. I always tried to stay organized, encourage teamwork, and make sure everyone felt valued.

At Pizza Hut, I can help others feel supported by being positive ,listening them carefully, respectful, and willing to help whenever a teammate needs assistance. I believe that encouraging others, communicating clearly, and working together creates a friendly environment where everyone can do their best for the success of Pizza Hut.

One team where I truly felt I belonged was during my mission. My companions and district became like family. We worked hard together, looked after each other, and celebrated every little win. We always had each other's back, and that made us a strong team.

What made our team strong was trust, respect, open communication, and a positive attitude. Even when things were tough, we stayed keen to serve, encouraged one another, and kept moving forward together.

One thing I contributed was being reliable and willing to pitch in whenever someone needed help. I tried to bring a cheerful attitude, listen carefully, and make everyone feel included. I always wanted my teammates to know, No worries, we've got this. I always believe in giving my best effort because when I do my part, God helps with the rest.

At Pizza Hut, I want to bring that same team spirit. I'll pitch in during busy shifts, support my teammates, communicate respectfully, and help create a positive workplace where everyone feels valued. I believe that when everyone works together, we can give our customers a great experience.

  • Good luck everyone

Thank you so much, Reechal, for letting us know about your experience. The thing that I have learned from your experience is positivity. You remained positive during all that time with your team. This shows that you possess an amazing teamwork spirit, which is amazing, by the way. I believe that your positive attitude is your strengtI really liked how you emphasized communication. I agree that good communication helps a team solve problems more effectively. What was the biggest lesson you learned from that experience?"

A few years ago, I was serving as a counsellor in the mission presidency. One of the counsellors was conducting temple recommendation interviews while I was meeting with other church leaders.

As time passed, we realized we were getting late for our flight. To help the team, I stepped in and assisted with the temple recommendation interviews. By working together as a mission presidency, we completed all of our responsibilities before leaving.

That experience made me feel happy and gave me a strong sense of belonging. It reminded me that teamwork, supporting one another, and being willing to help wherever needed are essential to accomplishing our goals successfully.

I would like to bring this experience in Pizza Hut

Hi Brother Patras,

I really appreciate your experience because it shows a true sense of belonging. I can see that you value teamwork and helping others. I believe your positive attitude will make a great impact on your Pizza Hut team, especially when you support your coworkers during busy and stressful hours. Being willing to help others under pressure is a great example of teamwork and leadership. These are valuable qualities that every team needs.

Two weeks ago, I went to church for my institute class. When I arrived, I saw a family cleaning the church. Since my class was not going to start for another 45 minutes, I decided to help them so the cleaning could be finished on time.
Helping them made me feel happy and gave me a strong sense of belonging. Working together as a team helped us complete the task more quickly and successfully.
From this experience, I learned that teamwork is very important. I will bring this same attitude to Pizza Hut by supporting my coworkers, helping whenever needed, and working together to provide excellent service to our customers.

Hi, Shahzaib ,Thank you for sharing your experience. I appreciate that you value teamwork and helping others. I believe that your positive attitude will make a great and positive impact on your Pizza Hut team.

A few years ago on Christmas Eve, our church branch president arranged a big dinner with live BBQ. We had a huge crowd of members, but the food distribution was incredibly slow. People were standing in long, tiring lines, frustration was growing, and the entire event was starting to look like a mess.

Instead of just waiting, I decided to step in. I quickly gathered a few young men from the church, set up extra tables, and asked the members to please sit down comfortably with their families. Instead of making individuals stand in line, we organized ourselves to serve family-by-family directly to their tables. This completely changed the energy of the room, calmed the crowd, and we managed to serve everyone quickly and smoothly.

That night taught me that when things get chaotic, someone has to take initiative, organize the team, and close the gaps. During a busy dinner rush at Pizza Hut, I want to bring this same mindset. If I see a bottle-neck—whether at the cut table, the register, or with orders piling up—I won’t just watch. I want to be the teammate who steps up, coordinates with others, and helps turn the chaos into a smooth, successful shift so that both our guests and our team feel completely supported.

Good on ya! I really liked your story. You didn't wait for someone else to fix the problem you stepped up and helped your team. I think that shows great leadership and teamwork. I believe you'll bring the same positive attitude to Pizza Hut. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Reechal! Your mission team story was really inspiring. I agree that trust, respect, open communication, and a positive attitude make a team strong. The fact that you stayed keen to serve and encouraged each other even in tough times shows real leadership. I also like that you mentioned being reliable and willing to pitch in. That's something I want to bring to our Pizza Hut team too. Wishing you the best as we work together!

I love to take part in sports. When i was in the school one day our teachers announced that my school organized a sports day at national level in Qaddafi stadium Lahore. I was very happy that time to participate in different games. I enroll myself in different game. Some are with team and some game are individually. Then when i play individual and i won. After two days of victory i played a foot ball match as a team. I learn many things from that foot ball match which i never forget. Our coach teach us few things and that are firstly change your mindset into positive mindset. Failure is nothing you learn many things from your failure. Always come what may, and love it. Be willing to pitch in whenever someone need help. You must be boost your energy. Never blame your any teammate for anything if he/she make a mistake you always help them and talk nicely with them. I strived to bring a cheerful attitude and listen them carefully , make them comfortable, support them . These are some things which are always in my mind whenever i work as a team. Then we all teammates act upon these things at last we won.

And in pizza hut i always remember all these things and i know these things make me a valued person. I  know when we care about our teammates we always won and i love the verse that is love one another. I always show them we love you and God love all of us individually and we must love him too. I am super excited to work with all of you as a team.

Hi Tabinda! I really loved reading about your sports day experience. The way your coach taught you about "failure is nothing, you learn from it" and "always help teammates" is so important. That positive mindset and teamwork is exactly what we need at Pizza Hut too. I agree with you - when we care for each other and support one another, we all win. I'm also excited to work with you as a team! Best of luck 🙂

During my internship at Avari Express Hotel, I felt like part of the team.

We helped each other during busy breakfast shifts and worked together to serve guests well.

The team worked because of respect, communication, and cooperation.

At Pizza Hut, I will bring a positive attitude and help my teammates whenever they need support.

The Power of One Extra Step

A team was working on a difficult project with a tight deadline. Everyone was tired. Meetings became quiet, people stopped sharing ideas, and everyone was focused only on finishing their own tasks.

One day, the team leader brought a small plant into the office and placed it on the table.

The team asked, “Why did you bring a plant?”

The leader smiled and said, “Because this plant is like our team. It doesn’t grow because of one big action. It grows because every day someone gives it water, sunlight, and care.”

The leader then challenged everyone: “For the next week, take one extra step for a teammate. Help someone before they ask. Share an idea. Give encouragement. Celebrate a small win.”

At first, it felt simple. One person helped a colleague solve a problem. Another shared a shortcut that saved hours of work. Someone brought energy into a meeting by recognizing another person’s effort.

Within a few weeks, the team changed. People started communicating more, supporting each other, and bringing new ideas. The project that felt impossible became successful—not because one person worked harder, but because everyone worked together.

The lesson:
A great team is not built by a single hero. It is built when every person decides, “I will make my teammate better.”

Examples of bringing team energy:

1. Celebrate small wins

  • “We finished the first phase—great work everyone!”
  • Recognize effort, not just results.

2. Create a helping culture

  • Instead of saying, “That’s not my task,” ask, “How can I help us move forward?”

3. Bring positive energy into meetings

  • Start with one success story or appreciation before discussing problems.

4. Lead by example

  • A leader who shows enthusiasm, listens, and supports others creates the same behavior in the team.

5. Build the ‘one team’ mindset

  • Replace “my work” with “our goal.”

A strong team is like a rowing boat: one person can row fast, but a united team moves farther and reaches the destination.Team work bring success in every step of work

  1. One team experience where I truly felt like I belonged was while working as a staff nurse. We worked together during busy shifts, supported one another, and always helped when someone needed assistance. Even during stressful situations, we communicated well and treated each other with respect.

What made the team strong was our trust, teamwork, and willingness to help each other. Everyone understood that providing the best care for patients required us to work together.

One thing I personally contributed was staying calm, helping my teammates when they were busy, and making sure patients received safe and compassionate care. I was always willing to step in whenever someone needed support.

At Pizza Hut, I can help others feel supported by welcoming new team members, encouraging open communication, and offering help whenever someone has questions or needs assistance. I believe that when everyone feels valued and supported, the whole team performs better and creates a great experience for our guests.
