G'day, mates!

My name is Reechal Azmat, and I'm from Pakistan. I'm currently studying through BYU–Pathway Worldwide, and I'm really grateful to be part of this internship.

One of the biggest blessings in my life was serving as a missionary in the Australia Adelaide Mission from May 2024 to October 2025. It was an incredible experience that strengthened my faith in Jesus Christ, helped me grow spiritually, and taught me the value of serving people from different backgrounds. During my mission, I also had the opportunity to improve my English, ate kangaroo meat hehe and build leadership skills, and create lifelong friendships.

Something that's very special to my family is that two of my sisters and I served missions in Australia. We were blessed to enter the MTC together, which is a memory we'll always treasure. I served in Adelaide, one of my sister served in Perth, and the other served in Brisbane. It's something we're incredibly grateful for, and I feel so blessed that we all had the opportunity to serve the Lord in Australia.

I enjoy serving others, learning new skills, and meeting people from different cultures. My goal is to keep growing both personally and professionally while building a successful career in the hospitality and food service industry.

I'm really looking forward to learning from all of you, making a few good mates, and supporting each other throughout this internship.

Cheers, and I can't wait to get to know you all!

Luv ya all.

Wow! Reechal, that is pretty amazing you were able to serve with 2 of your sisters! What wonderful memories you must have. Are you triplets, or really close in age? My husband and I just had dinner with a past mission president in Australia on Tuesday of this week. They served there from 2016-2019 and loved it. Welcome! 🙂

Hello everyone,

My name is Waqas Ilyas, and I am joining this cohort from Samanabad, Lahore, Pakistan. To share a little bit about myself from my Get to Know Me worksheet, my wife and I are both currently studying through BYU-Pathway. I served a mission in my own country 12 years ago, and I currently serve as the second counselor in our branch's Sunday School presidency. When I have free time, I love playing video games, having fun with my family and friends, and finding quiet places to sit alone and study the scriptures.

My main goal for this program is to build excellent communication skills and truly grow as a leader.

As we jump into learning all of this together, one way my teammates can support me is by being encouraging and open to collaborating as we figure things out. I am super excited for this internship and to be working alongside all of you!

Best,

Waqas Ilyas

Hello Waqas, welcome! I love that you are studying at BYU Pathway along with the other students. I can't wait to get to know you better and learn together. 🙂

Hello everyone,
My name is Sofia Patras. I am very excited about this opportunity to learn more about the food industry. I have always wanted to develop my knowledge and skills in food preparation, and I believe the BYU–Pathway Pizza Hut Internship is a wonderful opportunity to do so.
Cooking is one of my hobbies, and I am confident that the training and experience I gain through this internship will help me grow both personally and professionally.
I am naturally an introverted and shy person, so I also see this internship as a great chance to build confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and improve my communication and teamwork skills by interacting with others.
